What is prurigo nodularis?

Prurigo nodularis is a very itchy rash that culminates in nodular formation.

What causes prurigo nodularis?

We do not know.  However, it can be one of the first signs of autoimmune cholestatic hepatitis.

What are the symptoms?

  • Itch
  • Firm nodules that cover the arms, legs, back and abdomen

What is the treatment?

  • UV-B light
  • Psoralen plus UV-A light
  • Dupixent
